Teacher of English

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher of English. This post is suitable for an NQT or an established teacher. The person we are looking for will be committed to enthusing children of all abilities, be passionate about teaching and learning, and will be supportive of the College’s Catholic ethos. In our last Ofsted we were judged Outstanding in all areas. We are proud to be a high achieving Catholic school, who consistently produces at least good outcomes for our great children. Equally, we are also proud that we have a very stable staff who love working here and enjoy the benefits St Damian’s has to offer.
In 2019 our Maths and English results at Grade 4+ were 79% and at Grade 5+ were an incredible 57%. The attached letter details the outstanding English results. These results are the outcome of exceptional pastoral care, high-quality teaching and strong leadership.
St Damian’s is situated on the Tameside and Oldham border and is widely recognised for the quality of care it provides for all pupils and the professional opportunities afforded to all colleagues.
