There is an increasing awareness in education, that the development of pupils’ personal development skills has a significant impact on their academic outcomes, long- term success and well-being. While academic success is one of our aims, preparing our pupils for life, in an increasingly complex world and making sure they know how they can make a positive contribution to society is also vitally important. We want our pupils to be critical thinkers, creative, tolerant, and empathetic people who will be model citizens of our modern society. Ensuring our pupils develop employability skills will increase their chances of success. The ‘Excellence in Pupil Development’ award, is given in recognition of our school’s commitment to pupils Personal Development. Achieving this award demonstrates our commitment to developing personal attributes and attitudes, that enable our pupils to grow, flourish and be the best version of themselves.
