All students in History will -

 

• Gain the ability to frame an argument, considering conflicting points of view, before reaching a judgement based on in depth subject knowledge

 

• Understand the methods of Historical enquiry and to question the author, purpose, style and bias of any source and be able to apply contextual knowledge to sources

 

• Place historical events in the correct chronological context and have a strong knowledge of causes and consequences of historical events

 

• Show Britain is a cosmopolitan country and from its earliest recorded history has been pluralistic society

 

• Place pupils’ knowledge, especially SEND pupils,  in a national and international context
