Pupils studying GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition will be able to:
Understand the importance of food and its impact on lives.
Have the ability to carry out this life skill independently and be able to work with foods in order to prepare ingredients to make complete and edible dishes.
Have a love for cooking in order to demonstrate creativity.
Cook for themselves and others in the present and in the future, in a way that suits their income.
Be aware of the moral, social, cultural and economic influences associated with food.
Be aware of the careers available within the local food industry.
