St Damian’s is a heavily oversubscribed Roman Catholic Science College which is committed to the professional development of staff and promoting the welfare of children.
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of English, part time, 2 days a week, temporarily for one year. There is access to a well-established range of exciting curriculum materials that inspire and motivate pupils.
The grades across English Language were outstanding; 83.8% achieved grade 9 – 4, 23.7% achieved grade 9 – 7 and in English Literature 78.6% achieved grade 9 – 4 and 19.7% achieved grade 9 – 7. These results are the outcome of exceptional pastoral care, high-quality teaching and strong leadership. We are looking for a teacher who will ensure our children continue to receive an excellent education.
The person we are looking for will be committed to enthusing children of all abilities, be passionate about teaching and learning, and will be supportive of the College’s Catholic ethos. In both our current Ofsted report and Section 48 report we were judged Outstanding in all areas.
